đŸŒĄī¸ Current Focus: Tackling Heatwaves

Extreme heat is one of the deadliest climate challenges. We’re building maps, tools, and awareness campaigns to protect vulnerable communities from rising temperatures.

How We Work in Slum Communities

A practical, 5-step, community-led workflow for heatwave resilience: from rapid surveys to recovery.

  1. 1 Survey & Map

    Baseline Survey & POIs

Count total population, mark households, and map water points, clinics, schools, and shaded spaces.

    Population Vulnerable Lists POI Mapping
  2. 2 Prepare

    Awareness & Resources

Train local volunteers, place posters, and pre-position water drums, ORS, and first-aid.

Volunteer Training Posters/Leaflets ORS + First Aid
  3. 3 Activate

    Early Warning & Setup

Push heat alerts via megaphones & groups; open cooling points and hydration stations.

  4. 4 Respond

    Door-to-Door & First Aid

Check vulnerable households twice daily; provide ORS and refer severe cases immediately.

Home Visits ORS Support Hospital Referral
  5. 5 Recover

    Documentation & Next Steps

Record affected people and learnings; advocate for water taps, shade, and trees for long-term cooling.
